Our Mission
The Yale Institute for Global Health (YIGH), led by the schools of public health, medicine and nursing, is a university-wide effort to address global health issues, and serves as the focal point for research, education and engagement with global partners to improve the health of individuals and populations worldwide.

On Friday, April 11, 2025, from 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM ET, at Winslow Auditorium (Room 109) at the Yale School of Public Health, attendees will explore global health opportunities, connect with Yale’s global health community, and hear from keynote speakers Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus (Virtual) and Laura Magaña, PhD, MS (In Person).
YIGH Director Search
Yale University seeks an experienced leader to become its next Director of the Yale Institute for Global Health (YIGH). The successful candidate will be provided with the resources necessary to further expand global health activities across Yale’s campus and beyond, including the development of innovative research, clinical and educational programs. Harnessing the breadth of expertise of the three lead schools (Medicine, Nursing, and Public Health), as well as the University and its international partners, YIGH serves as a hub for global health activities at Yale. With 237 affiliated faculty and 14 faculty networks, YIGH provides expertise and seed funding to spark new faculty collaborations, as well as training and fellowship support to enrich the student experience.
